Plan Ahead for a Smoother Touring Stay
A little preparation before you arrive can make your touring or camping holiday even more enjoyable. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend break or a longer stay on the Norfolk coast, arriving organised helps you settle in quickly and start relaxing straight away.
Before travelling, it’s always worth checking your pitch details, hook-up requirements and arrival information. During peak holiday periods and school holidays, booking early is recommended, especially for larger touring pitches and family stays.
Pitch up safely at Searles
- Pack a minimum 25m electric hook-up cable or camping extension lead to connect to the power supply.
- All vehicles and touring caravans must be pitched facing forwards towards the road. Forward-facing pitching helps allow easy access and removal in the unlikely event of an emergency.
- Leave at least six metres between your tent, motorhome or caravan and neighbouring pitches.
- Maintain a minimum one metre clearance from the pitch perimeter, including guide ropes, for safety.
- Coal BBQ’s are permitted, just ensure extra caution is exercised when disposing of hot coals, and make sure BBQ’s don’t sit directly on the grass.
- Wood burning is not permitted, due to the additional fire risk associated with embers.
Following the above pitching guidelines helps ensure all guests have the space needed for a relaxing stay.
