Hop on a bike, set off on foot, swing from the treetops or dip your oars in Holkham’s mile long lake; there is no better place to lose yourself than in nature’s very own Norfolk playground.

The Coke family has lived at Holkham since the early 17th century. Holkham Hall, the Palladian style mansion, was built by Thomas Coke, the first Earl of Leicester, between 1734 and 1764. Since then, Holkham has been paving the way in agriculture and is now a thriving estate under the eighth Earl, with diverse businesses including farming, tourism and property.

We have a vast array of attractions, events and activities to choose from, as well as many diverse landscapes and habitats to explore. Choose from exploring historic state rooms to grand glass houses and cycling adventures to bird watching at sun rise.

Whether you’re visiting with family or friends, young or old, you’ll find something that floats your boat (yes, you can take to the water on our lake come summer too!). Children will enjoy our high Ropes Course and Woodland Play Area, whilst you may prefer a scone and cup of tea in one of our cafés. Everyone relishes our beautiful Walled Garden, and Holkham Hall can never fail to impress.

• Staff are trained in First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Disability Awareness, Autism Awareness and Dementia Awareness

• Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas. Dogs must to be kept on a lead at all times

• The Trailer used for the Tractor Trailer Tour has the capacity to carry and secure a wheelchair

• There are two wheelchairs and two mobility scooters which are free to borrow

• Mobility scooters are available for use in the Walled Garden

• The Holkham Stories Exhibition is multi-sensory and interactive
