The famous Wells & Walsingham Light Railway runs between the Norfolk seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea and the beautiful Abbey village of Walsingham.

Climb aboard, sit back and enjoy a half-hour trip through beautiful countryside whilst you take in the evocative sights, sounds and smells of old-time train travel. Your unforgettable trip back in time clanks over and under bridges, chuggs past a hill-fort and through a real ghost platform.

No need to book. Just turn up and pay at the ticket office.

Once aboard, there are wild flowers, butterflies, birds of prey, brown hare and deer to see as you rumble along whilst being protected from the glare of the sun or even the rain (which is useful to make steam from!).

Snacks are available from the Signal Box Café and there is a play area to enjoy before or after your adventure on the train. During the holidays there’s always something here for kids (and grown-ups).
