Here are some of the many events that would make a perfect excuse for a short break, or a longer holiday at Searles Leisure Resort.

12TH JULY - 1ST NOVEMBER
Visiting Houghton Hall's spectacular grounds and the house is a must while you are in the area. Originally home to Britain's first Prime Minister Sir Robert Walpole, Houghton Hall is a spectacular Grade I listed building a stunning representation of Palladian Architecture.
Currently owned by David Cholmondeley, 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley, Houghton Hall hosts a large collection of contemporary sculpture, making it a go-to destination for art lovers as well as history buffs. In 2020 Houghton Hall welcomes a collection of world-renowned British artist Anish Kapoor's seminal available to peruse within the grounds and in the hall.

17TH OCTOBER - 1ST NOVEMBER
A magical woodland park that brings to life the mystical world from the Tom Blofeld book series. Full of family fun attractions and features BeWILDerwood combines nature with the magic of fantasy and is sure to leave little ones mesmerised.
This half term Hazel the Witch is bringing spooky fun, without the scares, in a glowing display that takes place after dusk. Explore the display of magically illuminated curiosities sure to take your breath away.

22ND - 31ST OCTOBER
From humble beginnings, Wroxham Barns has evolved from pub to craft centre to tearoom to its current iteration as a family fun park and farm. Featuring plenty of cute and quirky farm animals, and a plethora of rides and attractions youngsters are sure to have a great day out.
This half term you can join Wroxham Barns for their celebrations of the iconic orange gourd with their pumpkin festival. Enjoy spooky fun, unlimited rides and a free pumpkin for every child to take home and carve.

22ND OCTOBER - 1ST NOVEMBER
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve is a must for nature-lovers. Pensthorpe served as the home of BBC Springwatch from 2008-10 and is celebrated as one of the most biodiverse nature reserved in England. Driven by a passion for inspiring future generations to be passionate about conservation, Pensthorpe has become a well-regarded destination for families and adults alike.
This October half-term tiptoe your way to Pensthorpe Natural Park near Fakenham for a spooky day out! Great for all of the family, discover the gruesome side of nature and unwind your curiosity about the great outdoors.

24TH OCTOBER - 1ST NOVEMBER
A unique attraction for lovers of all things prehistoric. Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure combines 60-acres of woodland with 20 dinosaur-themed attractions, deer park, eateries, play parks and more.
Well known for their Halloween attractions this half term Dippy the dinosaur is bringing family-friendly creep-tastic fun with Halloween trails, eerie mazes and spooky surprises.

20TH NOVEMBER - 20TH DECEMBER
Coming to the Royal Sandringham Estate this Autumn/Winter is a spectacular illuminated trail sure to take your breath away.
Coupled with atmospheric music, you can meander the 1-mile trail at your own pace and even stop for a Mulled Wine at the half waypoint. Before returning to the Sandringham Cafe for some more refreshments or heading to the fire pit to roast some marshmallows.

19TH NOVEMBER - 3RD JANUARY
NEW for 2020! An exclusive one-time event where you can take a magical journey through the Thursford Christmas Light displays. Usually only accessible with the Christmas Spectacular this year you can enjoy this must-see festive experience.

20TH - 22ND NOVEMBER TBC
Brought to you by Living Heritage Events, the Sandringham Christmas Fair is a firm festive favourite. With all other events postponed until 2021, the Christmas Fair is going to be a welcome addition to those who missed their Craft and Food Fair fix due to COVID.
With plenty of artisan gifts, drinks and treats you'll be sure to pick up some unique gifts for your friends and family this Christmas. You might even catch a glimpse of Santa Claus, so bring the family along. Tickets available at the Living Heritage Country Shows website.
